Don’t ignore sharp and persistent tooth pain. It’s a sign that something’s seriously wrong. Your symptoms and what we’ll likely recommend

If you recognise any of these signs and symptoms, it’s essential to contact us as soon as possible. Earlier treatment is recommended because it’s simpler, more comfortable, and more likely to save your tooth. Call 01829 741284.

The root canal process

A root canal sounds scary – but we can reassure you that it’s not. The tooth is thoroughly numbed (it feels like a longer filling), and Dr Lukas will open a small access point to remove the inflamed and infected tissue.

Next, the canals are disinfected and sealed, and the tooth is restored. The procedure appointment should take approximately 60-120 minutes, depending on the tooth and the number of root canals required.

Dental crowns are typically recommended as a follow-up procedure, especially for the back teeth, to prevent future fractures.
